Pass the Torch Event with Maggie Fox

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

What is it?

Pass the Torch is Women 2.0 Ottawa’s first formal networking & learning event! And we've invited guest speak Maggie Fox of Social Media Group to share her experiences as a woman leader in the social media space! Maggie will also share her experiences and lessons learned in starting her own company.

For this event we are borrowing from the Girl Geek Dinners theme. Which means, if you are male and plan to attend this event, you must bring a female with you or be brought by a female. (btw: Maggie founded the Toronto Girl Geek Dinners chapter)

When & where?

Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 6:30-8:30 pm (doors open at 6:00 pm)

Appetizers and refreshments will be served.

Ramius Corporation Headquarters

530-55 Metcalfe Street (at Queen)

Tel: 613-230-3808 x 242

Cost: $5 at the door (funds will be used to support future Women 2.0 speaker events)

How do I register?

To register, add your name to the attendee list below (include your email and/or website info). To add yourself, click the "Edit Page" button accessible at the top and bottom of this page. Follow the log in instrustructions. Password/invite key is w2canada (don't forget to unselect "notify me of changes" otherwise you'll get an email everytime the wiki is updated...not fun). If you're having trouble editing this page, please email ottawa [at] women2 [dot] ca.

Note: Registration is limited to 30 40 people and you must sign up here to attend. If you sign up and then can't make it, please remove your name from the list. It bears repeating: if you are male and wish to attend this event, you must bring a female with you or be brought by a female. Thx!
